There are two plug and socket types in Brazil, type C and type n (above). The C-type plug is two cylindrical pins, matched with the C-type 2-hole socket, without grounding. The n-type plug consists of three cylindrical pins. The n-type 3-hole socket is matched. The middle and upper pins are ground wires.

General n-type socket is suitable for plug with two kinds of current: one is rated current of 10a, two round pins, pin diameter of 4.0mm, that is, C-type plug (European gauge plug); the other is 20a, which is used for high-power electrical appliances, in which the zero fire wire pin is directly 4.8mm, with grounding wire.

About the voltage in Brazil:

There is no standard voltage in Brazil. The majority of Brazilian households use 127V, about 60%. But some of the Northeast states use 220V.

Therefore, when traveling to Brazil, if there is a domestic fixed voltage consumer, it is recommended to bring a transformer, otherwise, when encountering 127V voltage, some domestic consumers cannot be used normally.

But mobile phones, tablets, laptops and other electronic devices are designed with wide voltage, so they can be used in the global voltage without transformer. The electric appliances such as blowers and hot kettles belong to the fixed voltage electric appliances (refer to the parameter identification on the electric appliances for specific needs), which need a transformer.
